The ABC News host who will be moderating the presidential debate in
September, Linsey Davis, actually tried to connect Trump to the KKK tonight
at the DNC with Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer.

“Former President Donald Trump is expected to go campaign in Howell, Michigan
tomorrow. Many people are aware that a month ago in Howell, KKK protesters
marched in the streets with the white robes on and suggested that they
support Donald Trump. I’m curious if you make anything about that connection
and him going in particular to Howell tomorrow?”

How is this person allowed to be a debate moderator?

So Trump is going to Howell because the KKK marched in the streets a month
ago and say they support him??? Give me a freaking break. They are taking
something that is nothing but a coincidence and trying to smear Trump as a
racist.

You know why he’s going to Howell? Just look at a map. It sits near Lansing,
Detroit, Ann Arbor, Jackson and Flint. This isn’t rocket science.

As Ryan Saavedra asks, “How is this person allowed to be a debate moderator?”

Even Fox News is an "unfair" debate
according to Trump.

Donald Trump Will Skip the Fox News Debate
Jan 26, 2016

Trump has previously threatened to skip debates,
but Tuesday's declaration comes in the midst of
a fight he's having with the network over host
Megyn Kelly. Trump has been trying to bar Kelly
from hosting Thursday night's debate in De Moines,
alleging that she is biased against him.

True. The number of Trump safe spaces where he is treated like the
second coming of Einstein and Jesus is shrinking.
And will keep shrinking as he continues to throw away voter demographics. Having
thrown away half his black support at NABJ, he's hard put to find a safe space
among black voters. Vance is busy infuriating women. Several Republican
organizations exist to combat him and strip away Republican votes and every time
he and Vance open their mouths, they drive away still more voters.

I LOVE IT!!

Exactly. God save us from the partisans who think their party is pure
good and the other party is pure evil. The vast majority of people in
both parties are patriots. And working together to get things done is
not weakness.

In my view, the biggest obstacle to unity is that we have some
for-profit news organizations who are dividing the country for profit
and to benefit the ultra-rich. Their damage would be limited if more
people consumed a variety of news sources and thought critically about
what they are being told.

truthful. Case in point, originally Pravda was the official
newspaper of the Soviet Communist Party. How truthful do you think
it was?
About as truthful as Truth Social.
What makes you think your sources are true?
Truth and historical facts always confuse the demons.
Historical facts, like colonial troops
taking British airfields, muslims in New
Jersey cheered 9/11, millions of illegals
voted for Hillary, Kamala airport crowd
photos were faked?
Those "historical facts"?
Russia and China both run bot-farms
that pump divisive rhetoric into social
media all over the world. Millions of
posts spreading rumors to sway elections
and create political chaos.
Great points.

And today when it's so easy to fake video and put words in someone's
mouth, it's easier to fool the people can mostly be fooled all the time,
and some of the some of the time crowd. Plus it makes it easier for
those same people to disbelieve valid recordings if they don't comport
with what they want to believe.

It's because Reagan abolished the Fairness Doctrine. Under that rule, media was
required to provide equal time to both sides of any political discussion.

This situation made the media self fact checking because if Joe said the sky was
green, John was sitting in the next chair over to argue the point.

As a result, media tended to be very, very careful to get their facts straight
or to issue disclaimers when there was doubt. Also, opinion was clearly labeled
as such and kept very separated from the actual news desk.

When the FD went away, news became a free for all. Basically, it was legal for
anybody to say anything without the slightest fear of contradiction. The power
grab in Washington led to distortion and omission of facts and finally to
outright lies. That's how Fox made their money. They figured out what lies
folks wanted to hear, and then told them.

Reinstating the Fairness doctrine would bring to an end this habit extremists
have of lying.

The media with the biggest history of lying would likely be the biggest

Since we're on the topic of bias, so to speak, I ran into a heavily biased
survey as a popunder in my browser recently.

At what point does the bias of this survey become apparent to you?

1. Do you agree or disagree with this statement?—We should continue to elect our
president through the Electoral College as devised by the Framers of our
Constitution.

---Strongly Agree

---Agree

---Disagree

---Strongly Disagree

---Not Sure / No Opinion

2. Do you believe that young Americans receive a proper education in American
civics, including how the Constitution works and its importance to liberty?

---Yes

---No

---Not Sure / No Opinion

3. Do you think that most Americans understand how the Electoral College works
and its role in preserving free and representative government?

---Yes

---No

---Not Sure / No Opinion

4. Do you think eliminating the Electoral College will disenfranchise citizens
in large parts of the U.S. and increase the intense partisanship already
dividing our nation?

---Yes

---No

---Not Sure / No Opinion

5. Do you agree or disagree with this statement?—The Electoral College requires
candidates and parties to form broad coalitions that represent the interests of
many Americans rather than just those of particular regions or urban areas.

---Strongly Agree

---Agree

---Disagree

---Strongly Disagree

---Not Sure / No Opinion

6. Do you think the ongoing effort to do away with the Electoral College by
“progressive” politicians, academics, and the mainstream media is politically
motivated?—motivated, in other words, by a desire to give an advantage to one
political party over another?

---Yes

---No

---Not Sure / No Opinion

7. Are you aware that lawmakers in Washington, D.C. have introduced legislation
to abolish the Electoral College and that more than a dozen states and the
District of Columbia have already voted to do away with the Electoral College as
devised by the Framers of our Constitution?

---Yes

---No

---Not Sure / No Opinion

8. Why do you think the movement to do away with the Electoral College is as
successful as it is?
(Check ALL that apply.)

---American civics education—education in American history and government—has
been neglected in our K-12 schools and colleges.

---Too many Americans are so overcome with partisanship that they forget how the
Electoral College works to unify the country and ensure a government that is
representative of all regions and interests.

---Left-wing domination of the media, as shown by The New York Times’ “1619
Project,” undermines informed patriotism by promoting a biased distortion of our
nation’s history and our Constitution.

---Not Sure / No Opinion

9. Hillsdale promotes informed patriotism by educating increasing millions of
Americans about our nation’s great heritage of liberty. Which of Hillsdale’s
educational outreach efforts do you consider most effective at educating for
liberty? (Check ALL that apply.)

---Imprimis, Hillsdale’s digest of liberty, reaching over six million households
and businesses free of charge, ten times each year .

---Hillsdale’s free online courses on topics including the Constitution,
American history, and free-market economics, in which more than four million
Americans have enrolled.

---Hillsdale’s social media outreach, which reaches hundreds of thousands of
young people each month, with videos and articles on the Constitution and its
underlying principles of liberty.

---Hillsdale’s project to send pocket-size copies of the Declaration of
Independence and the Constitution to millions of citizens and K-12 schools
across America.Hillsdale’s work to launch and provide ongoing guidance to
classical K-12 schools nationwide.

clinches it as a push poll.

I'd say question 1 gives us a hint. Question 2 is neutral. Question 3
clinches it as a push poll.
Yep. That said, I continued to answer all the way to Question 8. No answer is
correct and response 3 is especially egregious.

And you're right. Misinformation and disinformation are coming at people
with multiple firehoses.
We can only hope that all the demographic shifts away from Trump combine with
Republican rebellion to keep that treasonous ass out of the White House.

I hadn't thought about that recently, but you're right. Restoring it
would be a great step.
The media with the biggest history of lying would likely be the biggest
objector, but truth should outweigh profits.
Since we're on the topic of bias, so to speak, I ran into a heavily biased
survey as a popunder in my browser recently.
At what point does the bias of this survey become apparent to you?
1. Do you agree or disagree with this statement??We should continue to elect our
president through the Electoral College as devised by the Framers of our
Constitution.
You cried about Trump winning the electoral but now you want to keep it.
Post by Governor Swill
2. Do you believe that young Americans receive a proper education in American
civics, including how the Constitution works and its importance to liberty?
---No
3. Do you think that most Americans understand how the Electoral College works
and its role in preserving free and representative government?
---No
4. Do you think eliminating the Electoral College will disenfranchise citizens
in large parts of the U.S. and increase the intense partisanship already
dividing our nation?
---Yes
5. Do you agree or disagree with this statement??The Electoral College
requires

many Americans rather than just those of particular regions or urban areas.
Huh?

The ABC News host who will be moderating the presidential debate in
September, Linsey Davis, actually tried to connect Trump to the KKK tonight
at the DNC with Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer.
“Former President Donald Trump is expected to go campaign in Howell, Michigan
tomorrow. Many people are aware that a month ago in Howell, KKK protesters
marched in the streets with the white robes on and suggested that they
support Donald Trump. I’m curious if you make anything about that connection
and him going in particular to Howell tomorrow?”
Left-wing ABC News host Linsey Davis, who is going to moderate the
network's presidential debate between Harris and Trump next month,
tries to connect Trump to the KKK
How is this person allowed to be a debate moderator?

So Trump is going to Howell because the KKK marched in the streets a month
ago and say they support him??? Give me a freaking break. They are taking
something that is nothing but a coincidence and trying to smear Trump as a
racist.
Yeah, it's not like Trump has even acted racist or hosted white
supremacists for dinner or ... Wait...

You know why he’s going to Howell? Just look at a map. It sits near Lansing,
Detroit, Ann Arbor, Jackson and Flint. This isn’t rocket science.
As Ryan Saavedra asks, “How is this person allowed to be a debate moderator?”

Not a word from Davis, though, back in 2021 (or now) when Biden visited
Howell.

It's an entirely valid question I'd like to see the answer to. Ever since
Trump's failure to condemn the Charlottesville Nazis, he has engaged in a
pattern of support for bigots and white nationalists that is inexcusable.
